Background for AAUSAT4.

AAUSAT4 is a continuation of the previous 3 student satellites from Aalborg University. (links on right side).

AAU CUBESAT (2001-2003) was a "yes we can" project and did show that it is possible for students to construct and launch a satellite within two years.

AAUSAT-II was the first attempt to fly a scientific payload. The mission was a very great success but the payload did give problems.

AAUSAT3 was launched 25.February 2013 and holds a real pro AIS payload which contains a number of highly advanced solutions for retrieve and analysis of the AIS signals.

We hope we can continue in that direction. We surely do believe that many of the skills the students is given can be used for a highly scientific payload.
